Occupation: Administrator , Mother of 2 totally awesome girls and slave to 3 cats. Have spent my working career in a number of settings from insurance, healthcare, pastoral care and church administration.
What do you enjoy about being part of the MST: Being close to home and no longer enduring daily traffic jams! More seriously though, being part of a God-centred team dedicated to sharing the most transformational and best news ever – that Jesus really does love you just as you are and more than you and I can ever imagine. Our staff meetings are awesome, especially when we have caramel tart. (That’s a hint!)
Favourite scripture passage and why? Bit hard to have only one! Psalm 121:1-8. It leads me to one of my favourite songs “River” which is very meaningful and I have a lot of favourite songs. And then there’s Ps 23 which I continue to appreciate more and more and Romans 8:31 (Message) is so inspiring. I’ll let you go and read it and be inspired too.
Favourite pastimes? Enjoy hanging out with the family, music, art and various crafts including a bit of cake decorating. If the weather is good, you’ll find me in the pool and possibly even doing a few laps. I delight in a walk along the beach and a spot of fishing although I don’t get to do that much. It’s all so good for the soul and provides space for reflection.
Favourite food? One seriously can’t beat a fresh Qld seafood platter – forget the oysters though. Forget dessert because there’s just absolutely no more room after the seafood!
Favourite TV shows – Enjoy good English comedy like the Vicar of Dibley and Ronnie Corbett. Nothing quite like an Agatha Christie movie so I’m totally into Poirot, Miss Marple and then there’s Midsomer Murders too. And, I’m an avid watcher of Colour In Your Life and Art Studio. Enjoy hearing the stories behind the inspiration and creativeness.
Reading – Anything that refreshes the soul. That definitely excludes DIY directions.
